The Opening Exhortation

5:1 Then Moses called all the people of Israel together and said to them: ¹  “Listen, Israel, to the statutes and ordinances that I am about to deliver to you today; learn them and be careful to keep them!

Ulangan 10:11

10:11 Then he ²  said to me, “Get up, set out leading ³  the people so they may go and possess ⁴  the land I promised to give to their ancestors.” ⁵ 

Ulangan 11:9

11:9 and that you may enjoy long life in the land the Lord promised to give to your ancestors ⁶  and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Ulangan 12:28

12:28 Pay careful attention to all these things I am commanding you so that it may always go well with you and your children after you when you do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.

Ulangan 20:7

20:7 Or who among you ⁷  has become engaged to a woman but has not married her? He may go home, lest he die in battle and someone else marry her.”

Ulangan 29:29

29:29 Secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those that are revealed belong to us and our descendants ⁸  forever, so that we might obey all the words of this law.
